Well, this week was a little bit extraordinary.
There were some personal milestones achieved:

1. The first time:

a) stepped onto the Miri soil
b) went onto flight alone in Air Asia (usually with the family, taking MAS or C-130)
c) a long distance trip in less than 24 hrs (KL-Miri 725am, Miri-KL 8.45pm)
d) my trip was damn boring since I'm alone

The moment I arrived in Miri, the Labuan blues suddenly came into mind.

How I really missed Labuan right now.heh.

Aku jadi sangat bengang akhirnya.
Mana la budak-budak ni tak melenting, tak memberontak.

Patutkah dimarahi gila-gila,dianggap gagal dalam kerja - apabila anda terlewat sedikit.
Sedangkan anda perlu berulang-alik dari Masjid Tanah - KLIA tiap-tiap hari, selama seminggu, tiada peruntukan untuk penginapan berhampiran.
Sedangkan anda perlu membawa van dan mengerah kudrat melampau membuka bolt dan nat berkarat bersaiz 40mm pada paip 14in. menggunakan alatan yang manual dan serba kekurangan.
Sampai spanar besar pun boleh bengkok.

Ok, memang aku buat sikit je kerja berat tu. 2 orang rakan sekerja aku (technician) yang banyak buat.Kerja pun dah siap.

Tapi aku memang sangat-sangat bengang dengan orang yang tidak faham betapa teruknya kudrat mereka dikerah.Kerja ni bukan kerja yang biasa, kali pertama cuba dibuat.

Aku boleh bangun awal, tiada masalah.
Tapi untuk mengejutkan mereka yang terlalu penat, aku pun tak sampai hati.Tetap juga digagahkan diri untuk bertolak awal kerana komitmen.

Namun, masih dimarahi, anda dianggap gagal dalam menguruskan projek.WTF?

Entahlah.Apalah nak jadi.Semakin lama semakin tawar hati.

Haih.

Macam-macam jenis orang yang kita boleh jumpa sekarang ni.
Bila kita dah bekerja, dan terlbat secara langsung atau tidak langsung.
Tambah-tambah lagi budak-budak yang kepompongnya dalam asrama je, macam aku.Kena "culture shock" sikit.
Kurang arif, walaupun merata-rata tempat aku dah pernah tinggal.

Aku sedar,sedikit demi sedikit, orang ni pelbagai jenis, lebih dari apa yang kita sedia tahu.
Rasanya macam kita bagus, kita dah tahu macam-macam, kita dah kenal ramai orang.
Dan bila kita berborak, kita bergaul dengan orang daripada pelbagai lapisan, pelbagai asal usul, ia membuatkan kita berfikir dan merenung.

Kadang-kadang kita berasa bersyukur dengan apa yang kita dapat.
Kadang-kadang kita berasa rendah diri ataupun dengki dengan apa yang orang lain telah capai.
Kadang-kadang kita berasa bernasib baik, sebab kita tak perlu melalui apa yang orang lain telah hadapi.
Kadang-kadang kita berasa panas hati atas sebab-sebab peribadi.
Kadang-kadang kita berasa sangat bersyukur, kerana kita masih ada kawan-kawan, dan orang tersayang.

Memang betul ape yang orang-orang tua selalu kata.
Selalu nasihat.

Langkah ke alam pekerjaan ni, bukan langkah bersahaja,bukan hanya langkah untuk kita mencari wang poket sendiri.
Langkah ini memang satu langkah yang amat besar, untuk mematangkan diri.Untuk memikirkan apa yang terbaik bukan sahaja untuk kita, tetapi orang di sekeliling.

Hidup ni bukan boleh hidup sorang-sorang.

When you are in the situation where:

a) You're in a company that ensures you with great, extensive real project & technical experiences. Numerous projects involved that will give you nice updates for your CV.

b) You have the chance working directly with an established, one of the best well-known competent engineer in the industry.

c) You have the chance to get him as the mentor for your career development (more specific, to obtain the Professional Engineer certificate)and the potential is huge - he's a Fellow Member of IEM.

d) But at the same time, the company don't really care about the human capital, especially the specialists who made money for the company - even outsiders close with the company know the technical staffs here are not made to last. Staffs always complained, and they have almost no motivation to work harder since no point / no bonus, in terms of monetary. Projects aplenty, workload multiplies, but no incentives to avail.
Solutions?Get your associates to do the work / sub the work to another contractor and end up with less profit margin.

e) You really wanted to help him to expand the business, but with little motivation from the company + already demotivated colleagues around you, the mission and vision seems far, far away from reach.

f) Your company is short of manpower and with more projects to come, everybody have to do extra works. Still, the management is too reluctant to hire more manpower eventhough they been able to do so.

g) The ultimate - your reward & benefits is not as good as others.

Well, all of the above reflects my situation right now.

Some may argue, this is a small company and I maybe not working long enough to actually complaining and raise this issue, but it is obvious, especially when comparisons were done with associate companies / companies that are relatively same in size and business scope.

I have asked them about how the company treated them, and they are really happy. Their bosses really take care of them. Even they counteroffer their valuable staffs with bigger perks to avoid them run away to bigger company.

It is true that this issue is mainly monetary.Not being materialistic, me myself yet to have any major commitments. Thus for me, the money is not a major concern.For now.

I have seen my colleagues, the subordinates (technicians) who were working days and nights, even 24 hours at one time. No one seems to care, no one seems to reward them. Man, I really pity them.

No wonder they always complaining.

And as the engineer, I always take the heat.

Nevertheless, this company is a damn good stepping stone. Lots to learn, and I've learnt a lot.

And I believe, this company has lots of potential.

Living in Masjid Tanah

Wah.Opis kosong la.hahaha.boleh la update blog.

Well, frankly speaking, I’m being lazier, day by day to update the blog. So much story to be told ,but I guess the blogging syndrome is merely a post-graduation/unemployment syndrome. :p

Alhamdulillah, 1^st month at work as an Electrical Engineer in TRMS Engineering Sdn. Bhd. went quite well. Treated well, caring employers, complete facilities. My stay here in Masjid Tanah is also taken care of.

Sewa free tak yah bayar muahahahaha

At least until we (myself & another one fella, who also joined the company in the same date) found a good house nearby, we'll staying at the house, since my boss really insisted us to find one, for us the engineers. He wanted us to isolate ourselves from the technicians. Dunno why.Heh.

Nevertheless, the current house is good, 2 storey with all facilities (except the fridge – problematic to store fresh foods.I want to cook!). I in no time went to Kedai Elektrik Heng Heng to install Astro at the house. Mapley here is crap, one time is enough, and I cannot afford missing EPL, Champions League & Buletin Utama.

As the house is only a walking distance to a supermarket & office, I can save more (and finish more at my beloved gadgets :p). No new Saga/Myvi/ whatever car in the near future, maybe after promotion into a permanent post in the company. (Well, I’m in probation status for 3-6 months maximum. Thus, different salary grade. Bos risau dapat kerja tempat lain heh)

And since office hours started at 830 am, no need to rush to work. I can afford to woke up at 8 and have a cup of kopi O while watching MHI. Unlike in KL where you have to wake early in morning, walk across the hills of Datuk Keramat while inhaling smokes from jammed traffic, alongside Jalan Datuk Keramat and squeeze into a fully occupied LRT to KLCC with sweating face. Somehow, I miss that kind of life right now.

Masjid Tanah is a small, peaceful town. All your (basic) needs are here, no need to go to Bandar Melaka. There are almost all banks branch here and you can easily take bus to KL, in case of extreme boredom and ehem, ehem, dating,only 1 hour 30 minutes trip,. Don't worry, it's Maraliner bus. But, the worst thing is – I never reached here before even though my kampong is nearby at Bukit Rambai, approximately 20-30 km if not mistaken.

Even worse, my uncle who worked nearby in PPM already called me, asking why I'm not telling him about my whereabouts.Sori pakcik!

Still, I'm happy to meet UTP colleagues here. Kudos to Paan for his help from the interview until the 1st day in office. I'm yet to meet Muta, he's also in PPM. Wait,where's my Jan04's colleagues?Damn, takkan takde sorang pun masuk PPM weh.

The real jobs and tasks are waiting and yet to be commenced. For now, I have been assigned for projects in PPM (PSR-2 Revamp) and GDC KLIA Cathodic Protection, while assisting others for the upcoming PETLIN Turnaround in mid-May. Soon, consultancy for helipad design for platforms.

Who says work is boring? :P

Today I'm leaving for Melaka Sentral on 103o am.

To fulfill my dreams to be the best in industry.

To prove that I am capable and not a flop.

Ahahah

Enough with that. This morning I will boarding bus to Melaka and stay at Paan's house overnight, and will reporting to TRMS Engineering Sdn. Bhd. on the next day (Wed). I am really sure most people know nothing about the company's business - what they are doing.

This is an electrical services contractor - and also serves as one of many PETRONAS contractors out there. Projects are many, including in Kerteh, Bintulu, etc.

What excites me are the prospects of learning a lot here, and the vision of the owner / director of the company, Ir Tajudin Romli. As the former PET, he's fully aware and prepared to take the company to the next level.

Well, really grateful and Alhamdulillah, at last I secured a relevant job for myself amidst economic recession.
Money wise, not as handsomely paid as my colleagues in PET, it's almost 2k difference (at least until the end of probation period, max 6 mths). Nevertheless, challenges ahead is waiting, and the prospects of learning everything in electrical engineering, top down, are thrilling.

**My friend, do me a favor.I know most of you much experienced. Give your advice and wisdom - on what car I can have with the 1.8k salary without the need of diet/starving. Don't mind it's new or 2nd, as long as it able to serve me well.

And please, no Korean cars, and Kancil / Kelisa / relative sized. Auto preferred.Hahahahah

Maybe given the nature of the job, I have to travel a lot.**

Makan tido memang sedap tapi merbahaya

Aku rasa malam semalam (Ahad) adalah antara malam paling banyak aku makan sepanjang hidup aku.

(tanpa buat apa-apa aktiviti berat eg. futsal.Kalo makan pas futsal tu biasa la, penat woo ahaha).

Perjalanan malam itu: Rumah uncle Fauzi - kawan abah sejak muda-muda time bawak Skyhawk dulu & kedai Nasi Lemak Cinta Sayang milik uncle Shahnon, kawan moto abah.

Latar tempat: Sg. Petani

8.30 pm
Menu destinasi 1 (rumah uncle Fauzi): Sate & Mi Rojak + kuih muih

Lama aku tak makan sate. Last makan sate, makan sate Bote. Jadi bercucuk-cucuk aku makan.Mi rojak aku makan sekadar rasa. Bukan ape, aku ni pemalu kat rumah orang yang aku tak biasa, dan aku tak berapa sangat kalau mi kuning.heh

Menu destinasi 2 (Nasi Lemak Cinta Sayang): Nasi lemak + ayam goreng +telur + daging + udang dari kue tiaw abah + teh o limau suam

Abah beria suruh aku pegi ambik nasi lemak tu. Terpaksa la jugak pegi. Lagipun die nak borak-borak dengan uncle Shahnon dgn uncle Non. Borak pasal motor je mau sejam dua.
Nasi lemak dimakan dengan mata menonton final All England Chong Wei vs Lin Dan. Down.
Tapi takde masalah, makanan tidak dibazirkan.Dosa.hehe

Saja nak promote tempat ni. Kedai uncle Shahnon ni tepi jalan je, dekat Cinta Sayang. Dekat je dengan The Carnivall water themepark. Breakfast sini memang penuh dengan orang. Rumah dia pun berdepan kedai je. Kerja kuat wo uncle Shahnon dengan bini dia, tapi memang berbaloi. Worth the hard work, dari pagi sampai malam.

Net profit RM 100 000++ per month.Beli moto besar cash je. La ni dah angkat GTR baru.Hoho

Dia dah nak bukak cawangan kedai kat Shah Alam, Seksyen 6. Dekat dengan UiTM katenye. Sape rase die dekat, gi la singgah.

Balik rumah, sakit perut.Pukul 3 pagi baru leh tido. Cantek.

Tipu jek, petang tadi aku tertido.

Dia nak tolong aku dapatkan mana-mana company yang ada buat kerja kat PPM ni. Harap-harap ada lah rezeki aku, InsyaAllah. Rumah pun tak susah-susah, umah nenek aku takde orang.hehe

BTW, sape rase dia nak jaket moto, boleh usha aku.Free jek. Jaket moto bapak aku banyak jadi dia nak jual kat bundle. Kamala aku dah simpankan yang paling best, ada padding semua lengkap.
Sape rasa dia nak, untuk naik moto @ bergaya je, meh sound aku.Limited,1-2 je kot.
Tapi saiz XL je ade. Badan bapak aku besar.heheh

Aku minat baca laman web-laman web yang menerbitkan berita-berita alternatif; berita-berita atau rencana yang 100% pasti tidak akan keluar dalam TV arus perdana. Tranungkite, Malaysia Kini, banyak lagi laman web yang menjadi platform media alternatif. Heck, aku siap bookmark lagi Tranungkite dalam Firefox laptop aku.

Tapi sejak dua menjak ni, aku jadi sakit hati bila bukak laman web-laman web media alternatif ni. Bukan sebab berita atau artikel yang disiarkan, tapi perangai komentar-komentar / komen-komen pembaca laman-laman web tu.

Aku pun hairan la, kenapa ada jugak orang sokong Karpal Singh cakap macam tu dalam Parlimen. Katanya, memang padan dengan Pemuda UMNO.Mungkin, Pemuda UMNO salah. Bukan betul sangat pun.Tapi aku bukan nak cakap siapa betul, siapa salah.

Tak kira UMNO ke, DAP ke.
Ini berkenaan isu etika dan "Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan", tambahan lagi dalam Parlimen Malaysia di mana Perlembagaan Persekutuan digubal.
Aku tak payah jadi Ahli Parlimen pun tau. Kalau betul sekalipun Pemuda UMNO yang hantar peluru tu, cakap la elok elok sikit. Nak maki sangat, maki la luar dewan.

Jangan lupa, selaku seorang Ahli Parlimen pilihan rakyat, tingkahlaku anda diperhatikan 24 juta rakyat Malaysia yang segelintirnya mungkin mencontohi mulut anda.

Well, tomorrow is March 1st, almost 3 months into a long holiday that is unknown when it will end. Hopelessly jobless (exaggerated there), waiting endlessly, checking phone and email for any good news to come.....if anylah. It's very hard to stay positive when enduring this, especially myself who is quite pessimist at times.

Anyway, millon thanks and appreciation to my parents who understands the circumstances very well by supporting my phone bills, giving allowances every month, lending Myvi, everything. Not forgetting my Ms. Alin, who always behind my back, giving moral support, showing some love, and promised me for a shopping treat on April. Yes! :p To my friends also, who always showing support and words to keep me motivated all the way.

Seorang anak, abah dan ibunya sedang menikmati minum pagi.
Si anak sedang mengunyah cekodok pisang dengan nikmatnya apabila abah bersuara,

Aku pun terlupa sebenarnya yang Airforce pun ade engineer. Tapi engineer dalam Airforce bukanlah apa yang orang kata "prime positions" - the pilots to be exact. Jeneral-jeneral, top post dalam Airforce, semua pilot.Bapak aku pilot.Heeee.

BTW, engineer in airforce is also quite technical, specifically, playing with avionics bla bla bla ape lagi tah. Ade la ilmu sikit-sikit, hasel baca majalah dgn buku-buku kapal terbang bapak aku + menjahanamkan model-model kapal terbang die.Ahah.

Aku pun tak berapa pasti. Untuk entry dalam airforce, then there should not be a problem, given my father's position in the Airforce (Super duper submarine cable baek punyaa). Still, I not desperate yet and I wanted to find the job myself first. Test PTD ni nak wat betul betul.

Takkan le nak harap bapak jugak kan (walaupun bende tu depan mata je).

By contrast, the recession are not helping either, and as a non-scorer (ahah!), my options are limited further and further and further...

This is the answer:

One of many projects I have involved heavily was the PETRONAS Electrical Forum,held in January 2008. As an organizing committee or more specifically, the IT & Media Coordinator for the project, it is crucial for me to do all tasks right first time. Plus, this forum is a fast-track event, thus it needs my extra commitment to make this event a huge success. In the end, the event was truly a hit with record high attendance from PETRONAS engineers with participation of many technical papers from internal staffs and also service providers (Siemens, ABB)
Undeniably, there are several measures to be taken by the team, especially myself before coming into the success. First and foremost, I managed to resolve the communication problems with someone unfamiliar, especially someone who are much more superior, for example, the engineers from other plants. This always being the stumbling block for most of us, especially myself when encountered the situation before. The shyness and nervousness when dealing with stranger is overwhelming and this costs me some precious knowledge and experience However, with the mentality change and academic plus practical exposure do help me to improve, and I have gained much better confidence and fluency when communicating with people from all levels in the business.
I led my team by example. I always believe in exemplary leadership - it is very crucial to set a good example to the colleagues. During the project period, I have to led a group of 4. To ensure all the tasks were done right first time, I always working together with them while mentoring them the work that needed assistance. My team and I always looking for continuous improvement, thus we encourage knowledge sharing among the team members. So, the team managed to complete all tasks in the given timeframe.
I always maintain a good rapport and teamwork with all levels of people. In this project, personnel involved directly are from all hierarchy - general manager, senior managers, managers, engineers, technicians and administration staffs. Plus, the contractors, solutions provider and hotel managements are also involved. In order to ensure the event will run smoothly without heavy interruptions, a good, consistent contact was established to make sure all people's demand were catered. It also important to upkeep the image of the organizing company.
One of the lessons I have learned during the project is the importance of self improvement. I always admire someone who has extensive technical knowledge and life experience up his/her sleeve, they really gave me the inspiration to keep improving myself in any means possible. I learned from the senior and experienced engineers I encountered during the forum. They gave me a food of thought - there are always someone better out there.So, always give myself room for improvement. The learning curve is limitless and it should not be a problem for me to continuously improving, regardless of the knowledge and experience gained.
Another lesson I've learned is the importance of having good colleagues around you. This is the first time I actually had my first hand experience with actual technical event management, and I involved with the team from the beginning of brainstorming through the closing ceremony. My colleagues - the staffs were very helpful and not hesitate to give guidance whenever I need it. Even they are the industry people who have years of experience among them, they always open to any views from the young people. My ideas were always been heard in the meeting, and from time to time, my involvement with the project was significantly increased. I was always given the space to express my personal views, thus enhancing my confidence, polishing creativity and improving my problem solving skills.
In the end, the learning process and exposure did manage to develop myself into a more mature, competent person.

Aku telah di"tag" oleh Kinah (Maaf, lambat! :p). Tajuknya - Duit atau Kepuasan Bekerja.

Jika ditanya kepada orang lain, mereka mesti menjawab, "ikut keadaan," dan fakta ini telah disokong dengan jawapan-jawapan daripada penulis lain. Dan memang benar, kita tidak boleh memberi jawapan yang konkrit kepada persoalan itu. Semuanya bergantung kepada iklim semasa dan juga diri sendiri. Pada pendapat aku, jika aku hanya diberikan ruang untuk memberi 1 jawapan, aku akan memilih kepuasan bekerja, itu yang pasti. Apa gunanya wang dan faedah sampingan yang banyak jika aku balik ke rumah dalam keadaan stres dan kelam-kabut. Tiada masa untuk diluangkan bersama rakan taulan dan keluarga, kurang masa untuk aktiviti fizikal dan makan di waktu yang tidak tentu.

Kemudian didiagnos menghidapi tekanan darah tinggi, arteriosklerosis, lemah tubuh badan, nafas pendek, dll. Dan akhirnya mati, tanpa sempat menikmati hidup. Tambahan, semua wang-wang pergi kepada orang lain.

(Rekaan semata-mata, tiada kaitan dengan yang masih hidup ataupun yang telah mati)

Tapi semua boleh berubah dengan keadaan. Tika muda, tidak salah bekerja separuh mati, mencari wang lebih untuk pinjaman kereta, rumah sewa dan agak penting - belanja kahwin, dan kemahiran serta pengalaman yang tidak disangkal kepentingannya, terutamanya untuk graduan segar (btul ke fresh grad?huhu) yang ingin maju dalam karier masing-masing.

Sudah semestinya, apabila sudah bekeluarga, sudah bersuami/isteri, kita mahu mengurangkan bebanan kerja untuk menumpukan kepada tanggungjawab baru yang kini tergalas di bahu. Jadi, kita mungkin memilih untuk mencari kerja yang lebih kurang tekanannya. Beban kerja berkurang, lebih masa untuk diluang bersama lain = lebih puas dan rileks. Mungkin antara kita yang juga telah naik pangkat ketika itu, jadi kurang beban dikenakan kepada diri sendiri dan lebih tekanan dikenakan kepada orang bawahan.

Apapun pendapat atau hujah, tiada jawapan yang objektif untuk persoalan ini. Ada orang menemui kepuasan bekerja mereka dalam kerja yang sangat mencabar atau begitu teknikal - dan kebiasaan, mereka akan menerima gaji & faedah yang agak menarik dan setimpal dengan apa yang mereka hadapi. Jadi mereka mendapat kedua-duanya - wang & kepuasan. Ada juga yang tidak mementingkan berapa yang mereka dapat, asalkan mereka seronok berkerja, tidak stres serta memberikan sepenuh komitmen kepada apa yang mereka buat. Produktiviti juga boleh dicapai.

Kenapa penulisan blog aku banyak dalam BM, bukan Inggeris? Sebab aku rasa kemahiran menulis esei aku dalam BM sangat teruk semenjak aku mendaftarkan diri ke UTP. Apa subjek yang diajarkan dalam bahasa Melayu ketika di UTP?Rasanya tiada 1 pun. Tambahan, BM SPM aku pun bukannya elok sangat.
Dan peperiksaan PTD pada 21hb ini mewajibkan aku untuk menjawab 1 esei dalam Bahasa Melayu. Jadi medan blog ini dapatlah sedikit sebanyak membantu untuk mengembalikan kebolehan menulis dalam BM.
Pelik dan ironik apabila orang Melayu sendiri tidak mampu untuk menulis dan berasa janggal untuk menulis dalam BM, tapi tulis berjela-jela dalam Inggeris. Kurikulum sekolah dan apa yang kerajaan praktikkan juga tidak membantu. Pelaksanaan PPSMI, walaupun ditentang mereka yang menganggap diri mereka 'pejuang bahasa & bangsa' dan penggunaan nama Inggeris dalam nama jabatan dan kementerian.
Dan ahli politik dan NGO cepat membantah, melatah apabila Pulau Pinang menukar papan tanda jalan raya ke pelbagai bahasa, dan di Kuala Lumpur, di mana mereka menukar papan tanda bahasa Melayu ke tulisan Cina.

Polemik politik?Semestinya.

Apa yang aku tonton di Buletin Utama malam ini sungguh menjelekkan aku.

Di tatkala dunia sedang bergelut dengan kemelesetan ekonomi gara-gara angkara dasar kapitalis yang mementingan keuntungan semata-mata, apa yang berlaku dalam politik Malaysia, Perak khususnya, ialah perkara yang terakhir yang dimahukan seorang rakyat marhaen seperti aku.

Kenapa?
Politikus bertikam lidah, ke sana ke mari bukan utk meleraikan kemelut ekonomi yang lebih buruk dengan apa yang berlaku pada 1997, malah bergelut untuk merebut kuasa dan jawatan. Jumpa Sultan Perak, jalan sana, jalan sini, bergerak kesana kemari dengan angkuhnya menaiki Camry bagi Exco Perak yang kini hilang kuasa, dan pembangkang (BN) dengan kereta yang juga tidak mahu kalah. Akhirnya Sultan Azlan Shah menentukan semua, memberi kuasa kepada BN yang kini memegang majoriti DUN (walaupun dengan hanya 3 ADUN bebas yang memihak kepada mereka).

ADUN Pangkor, Datuk Dr. Zambry Abd. Kadir pula dilantik sebagai MB Perak yang baru. Tatkala perlantikan dijalankan di Istana di Kuala Kangsar, penyokong di pihak lagi satu berdemonstrasi, membuat kecoh. Menghalang trafik dan cuba untuk menghalang konvoi kenderaan Diraja yang turut membawa Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah.
Apa ini?Perlukah demonstrasi dan keganasan?Aku merasakan ia tidak perlu, dan jika dilihat pada senario semasa, ketidakstabilan ialah perkara yang paling tidak dimahukan semua orang. Sangat mengecewakan.

Aku tidak memihak kepada sesiapa. pihak BN salah, pihak PR juga salah. Tidak keterlaluan aku mengatakan mereka ini kurang pandai, kurang bijak dan tidak cukup intelek.Tidak tahukah mereka apa yang sepatutnya menjadi keutamaan agenda mereka?Adakah mereka dikaburi jawatan, kuasa dan wang yang bakal mereka dapat?BN dengan ADUN mereka yang suka melompat-lompat (11 hari je Adun Bote?isk) dan PR dgn agenda politiknya yang tak habis-habis.Aku mahukan hasil, tak mahukan kata-kata manis.

Apabila aku melihat balik apa yang berlaku kepada aku dan sekitarnya, aku menjadi sangat risau. Risau dengan apa yang bakal berlaku kepada Malaysia dan rakyatnya. Wakil rakyat bertelagah, rakyat tersepit, penyokong berdemonstrasi, pelabur lari, rakyat hilang rezeki. Betul, rezeki itu di tangan Allah SWT, tetapi selagi kita tidak berubah, adakah Allah akan mengubah keadaan kita?

Perak sangat dekat di hati aku.Ibu aku anak jati jawa Chenderong Balai, Teluk Intan. Bapa aku berasal dari Tapah Road. Aku pula memang sangat rapat dengan keluarga sebelah mak aku. Nenek, pakcik-pakcik dan makcik-makcik aku (muda-muda lagi ketika itu) yang jaga aku tika kecil, sedang ibu bapa aku berdua bekerja.Seorang di Kuantan sebagai juruterbang dan seorang di Hospital Universiti (PPUM) sebagai jururawat.Dan kami tinggal di Petaling Jaya ketika itu, 15-18 tahun lepas. 5 tahun di Tronoh juga mendekatkan lagi aku dengan Perak, mengenalkan aku dengan daerah-daerah yang tak pernah aku pergi. Manalah aku pernah sampai Taiping, Kuala Kangsar, Lumut, Manjung, Bota, lain-lain.Teluk Intan dengan Tapah tau la.

Hentikan semua polemik politik ini. Aku dah muak. Aku cuma mahukan kestabilan, kerjaya terjamin dan keselamatan diri dan keluarga, seperti apa yang semua rakyat Malaysia mahukan.

Those words are best depicting how my emotions are. The call to PETRONAS Group Talent Sourcing, HR nearly made me cursing, still I'm sane enough to control my emotions.

"Course ape?"
"Electrical kak."
"Ari tu pegi engagement session tak?"
"Pegi kak."
"Oh...kami tak interview kalau tak lepas requirement.Kali ni kami stringent sikit.Lagipun tak banyak projek, jadi kami tak interview siapa yang tak lepas."
"Tapi ari tu kak, saya dah report duty, akak kata tunggu call.Lagipun time engagement session ari tu, die cakap below sket dari 2.75, 2.6 ke still considered."
"Tak tak, sekarang pun position tak banyak, jadi kite limitkan."
"Oh ok...release letter nak ambik kat sape kak?Bukan HR yg keluarkan ke?"
"Bukan, ESU akan issue surat tu.Surat utk loan recovery. Awak liaise dgn *********."

The conversation with kak Zamzaira, the same person entertained me when reporting duty at KLCC did piss me off. Clearly, she's being ignorant about my status. Or all HR people really discriminating underachievers?
Blame me on me underachieving in my study, and they have stated a good, valid reasons for denying the chance of sturctured interview.BUT, I am really frustrated on how they handling the matter and dragging it till February. It will be easier if the matter is sorted earlier - aku xperform, tak capai target CGPA > inform aku xkan dipanggil interview > release letter given, non-bonded > boleh stat carik kerja awl, mcm budak MARA.
This is the reality, particularly for me as the underperformer, do not have the privilege to stay idle and hoping for PETRONAS calling for you to come. No use to blame the past.Let bygones be bygones.

Apart from the above, on a positive note - SPA sent me an invitation letter for a test. For the PTD (Pegawai Tadbir & Diplomatik) post, the test will be held in SMK Pandan Jaya on coming 21st February, 9 am to 5 pm.

Worth a shot, still, the test is the first of 2 test. Interview will be following if performing well. By the way, if offered, the post will be on contract basis (starting this year) and will be absorbed into permanent service if excelled.

Tah la. I still holding on my faith and belief. Rezeki ade di mana-mana.InsyaAllah.

Thank you for the tireless highlighting of the Palestinians plight again and again.

Its almost 2009 but there is still no solution in sight for the Palestinian.

I believe this issue will continue to run forever and ever as is mentioned in Jewish Protocols chapter in "International Jew" book written by the Great American Industrialist the late Mr. Henry Ford.

Mr. Ford had already forecasted the terrible plight and the fate of the Palestinian and for that he paid the ultimate price which was the withdrawal of his popular DEARBORN INDEPENDENT News which up to the point of withdrawal had tirelessly forewarned American of impending Zionism worldwide control.

I hope Tun will also continue to fight for the Palestinian cause just as Mr. Henry Ford had done 80 years ago..

Tengah kemas-kemas barang, aku terjumpa satu kotak.

Ape ade dalam kotak ni?Sungguh misteri...bile dibuka, semua kenangan lama terngiang-ngiang di telinga dan di fikiran.

Yeah...aku ingat semua barang aku dah hilang. Ade lagi semuanya. Kad kad raya, surat surat lama, hadiah2, gambar2 lama. Nametag event time sekolah dulu dulu pun ade.

Antara barang-barang yang dijumpai: Slip SPM, PMR, majalah SAMUDERA, gambar kelas form 5, gambar form 3 lepas PMR, nametag Perfect Score & Nadwah, cenderahati pengawas & BPPI, dan tag baju SEMSAS.

Nametag. Tiap batch ada kaler sendiri.Kena lekat kat semua baju,jadi bile baju jatuh dari ampaian, owner akan kena denda dgn warden.
Tu je la tag yang aku dapat kumpul2 dari member.Lain ramai yang dah abis.

Somewhere in 2006, we (K5 residents) confronted Pak Gads who are merciless summoned all motorcycles in the area.
My patience are reaching breaking point.

Kenapa?It’s already known that the way is for fire engines,but why now baru kene saman?It’s already my 4th semester in K5,no even 1 warnings issued to the bikes parked there.Saman terus.No mercy.Rm 30 per slip.Totally out of this world.Saman polis pun kalo merayu dapat 30.Lagi murah kalo pakcik ko polis trafik (tq uncle Sab sebab setelkan saman lesen L mati hehe =p)And one thing the security should consider.Why RM30?Security department have not enough funds?This is Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS,look at the capital word.It should be no funding problems at all.As the money are well spent on the state-of-the-art builings and UFOs,education technology and R&D,the security aspects also must be taken care into.Maybe someone might think "ape ko melalut nih,tu duit PETRONAS,banyak lagi die nak spend,R&D,exploration,bla bla bla " but to generate funds by " cekik darah" students seems really harsh.My summons in total is reaching RM 200,I guess.My other friends are higher,RM 300,RM 400, even RM 800 in total.No joke.

Yes,someone may argue,in HSE point of view,it’s wrong to park at emergency lane,it will obstruct the way of any emergency vehicles to get through.Tapi kenapa tunggu 4 sem baru nak sedar,then terus saman?No warnings?At least,issue a warning first.Ni tak,saman je!Prevention is better than cure,that’s obvious.So we prevent vehicles from blocking the path,especially the big fire engine,so faster emergency response,said the "gad’s.But something already happened.A fellow’s house already destroyed in a fire last semester.No no no,the gads x saman pun moto2 yang halang laluan bomba tu last sem.

Double standard is also the issue.Why a local lad wearing proper dress but unfortunately caught without wearing their matric card,being summoned IMMEDIATELY by the gads,while the foreigners (I want to use the "nigga" word,but I try not to be not too rude/harsh) in a round neck + seasoned jeans (very very seasoned,I should say "kain buruk",it almost the same) plus slippers,the jamban one and also not wearing matric card escaped.Come on la,I really hate this.I guess the gad’s English are good enough just to inform them that is wrong,and yes, issuing the summons and hand it to them.As simple as that.The foreigners here is really "naik kepala" already.Partying all night long,in someone’s block common room,playing loud music,loud bass.Annoying.

And the guards/security officers doing nothing.

End of story.Hoping the petition that will be sent this afternoon to Security dept. will make a difference (even I doubt the managements will respond to this,sigh…..our student representatives are really weak nowadays..)

Now, I finished. I managed to make clearance without too much hassle.

But it comes with a price.Hefty.

After a thorough survey of houses in Keramat and Wangsa Melawati vicinity, Abah decided - pindah Penang.

Man, cannot escape this time.
FYI, I escaped 3 times from logistics works- packing, loading, moving, unpacking, arrangement - 1st time during in SEMSAS (from Kuantan to Gong Kedak, T'ganu), 2nd time in UTP (Gong Kedak - B'worth) and 3rd time, also in UTP. (B'worth - Desa Pandan, KL)

Oh, it should be 4th time if moving from Desa Pandan to Kg. Dato Keramat is considered.Lucky huh?

BTW,take a look at the mess.

Baby is sleeping on the bag,on top of packed boxes.

This is our 3rd time to Butterworth since our 1st move in Standard 6. And Butterworth is boring from my POV, compared to other places I've been living in - Kuantan, Gong Kedak, KL, Labuan. Maybe I'm yet to unearth it's gem.
And it's matter of time before we moved again - if Abah promoted to higher position (General perhaps?), or he resigned to be a simulator instructor.

But surely, I will be missing the balcony view of the metropolitan.

It's just perfect.

Interview #3: Kuasatek Protection Sdn. Bhd

Yesterday, I went to an interview at Kuasatek Protection Sdn. Bhd. . The company's business is mainly on testing and commissioning of installation sites (substations, etc.). The main client is TNB, followed by other engineering firms.
To be frank, I'm quite nervous since this is 1st time journey to the place.
Even my father (who is always my travel consultant, especially when lost in KL with Najmie on the way back to UTP) is yet to come to Kota Damansara.
Because of the nervousness, I used the Google Maps to look exactly where is Kota Damansara actually. The route highlighted from my house until the address : Jln. Pekaka 8/3.

One question playing: Where's MRR2? And how come MRR2 invisible with the SMART tunnel is available on map?

1130 hours,embarking on Komuter to Sg. Buloh for RM 2.10, then hitching a ride on taxi that costs me RM7.00.
The Kuasatek Protection office - specifically, a site commissioning offce is a small one with 3 staffs available at the time I arrived. First assignment: filling not one, but 2 very lengthy forms - 1 is the employment form and another is a general test.
One part of the test paper is interesting - it required me to redraw the table using my own handwriting. The tables consists of tabulation of data acquired during the commissioning test. Earth fault, current injection, operating time, etc. and values are already given. Just copy the whole thing.

Anyone knows what's the test is intended to?

A short interview with the HR staff (Puan Murni) highlighted me (again!) with the obvious disadvantage of PETRONAS scholars when job hunting - a release letter. They need a letter as an assurance that we are not bonded anymore.

This is quite disappointing, especially when considering GTS's action during Sharing Session on last November. Heck, even they don't know all of us already taken the test about 2 months.
And they tried to launch a surprise.
They failed.Haha.

Well, recap on previous interviews I've gone thru:

1. IMPSA - An Argentinean renewable power generation company. Managed to be shortlisted for 2nd interview in Lumut factory with Maja, Riyas and Joel.
Position: Electronic Engineer.
Lost to Riyas. (=p) However, Riyas rejected the offer.

2. MMC- Gamuda JV - Walk-in interview in conjunction with CPW. Everything went well. Yet to heard any news. The electrified railway have delayed in some stages, and this maybe one of the factor.

3. Kuasatek Protection Sdn. Bhd. - Position: Commissioning Engineer. The 2nd interview (supposed to be technical interview) is put on hold.

...and others I don't really remember. Even I have my Shell application already rejected.Huuu.

Well, with CGPA that not really encouraging, I'm not in a position to simply relax and not pushing myself.I always tried looking for other aspects that can complement that weakness.

After all, Allah swt. knows best, and always rewarding those who work hard enough.

Flashback : Chapter 1

5 days alone with the cats in Desa Wangsa Keramat is boring.

Seriously, not much to do, so I decided to revive my writings, create a new proper blog and recycle from former Friendster blog.

I intended to make this blog thing to be a medium for my long-suffering itchy hands - it can be everything, from personal to gadgets to, ehm, almost everything. But all will be managed in discrete manner.Organized.Satisfaction guaranteed.

So let's recap what actually I mumbled in previous plain Friendster weblog.

1. Dated March 17th 2007, after Picisan FC morning training session.

Just finished Picisan fitness training this morning.Being woke up by Jamil at 700 am,I felt soooo lazy,sleepy whatsoever…last night I slept very late,approximately at 400 am,since I celebrated the massive MU win over Bolton with Syamier by playing PES till headache.Very delighted to saw Park Ji Sung scored twice! =)

But I managed to woke up from the beloved bed,thinking of the commitment to the team.(hahaha!poyo gler! =p) And for many games before,I get exhausted too early in the game…guess my stamina is deteriorating since in UTP.
What did I have done?hehe~
Thus,I’m trying to at lease gaining more stamina for next matches.I do have physical strength,but with less stamina playing in real football field,it’s a big problem.
For the professionals,it’s all about the technical & tactical ascepts of the game,whereas for us,the amateurs,fitness comes first.
That was the major factor why we conceded many goals in the 2nd half vs Urawa last February.
Yeah,Rome was not built on one day,but at least,we’re trying right?
Go go Picisan~!

2. Dated March 14th 2007, I forgot what I am intended to.

The history does repeats itself.

A Muslim does not fall into the same hole,twice.

Ironic.

Twice,thrice?Who knows……

3. Dated March 13th 2007, during the mid-semester break.

Writing in this time is a blessing.
No assignments and studies to be done (yet!).
Alone in the living room, sweating while being a part-time technician,rectifying dad’s external hard disk problems.
The VBR\unknown worm was too stubborn.WTH?
On the clock,241 am, waiting for the Celebration match, United XI vs Europe XI at 400.
I’m feeling a little bit sleepy,drowsy with a small percentage of nauseous feelings.
I haven’t eaten anything today, except some kuih.Don’t know why.
I do not want to admit that maybe my mood,my feeling right now DO affect my appetite.
But with the HDD problems plus a match that will line up the finest of European football, surely I can’t miss that!To be more exact, I can’t sleep tonight!
(note:Ronaldinho will play no part in the match because of his aggrevated injury in El Clasico)

Humans,naive humans.
